My personal belief is that the practice of orthodontics is a patient-centered service, and it is my goal to facilitate an enjoyable, comfortable environment while creating beautiful smiles that will last a lifetime.


Dr. Merritts favorite TV shows are Empire, The Haves and the Have Nots, The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and Dance Moms. His favorite movies are Terminator 2 and Kill Bill Vol. 2, and his favorite celebrities are Mariah Carey and Venus Williams.

Dr. Merritt was born and raised in rural Georgia, but has since lived in several parts of the country. After spending significant time in the South, New England, the Midwest, and the Pacific Northwest, Dr. Merritt is excited for new beginnings in Houston! In his spare time, Dr. Merritt enjoys spending time on the tennis court, working out, indulging in reality television, and spending time with friends and family. Dr. Merritt feels fortunate to be a part of the best profession in the world and is super excited to get to know all of his patients.
